Armstrong Park is located about one-half mile northeast of Plano’s historic downtown. The neighborhood’s official boundaries are Park Boulevard and Jupiter Road on the north and east and 19th Street/Overglen Drive and Avenue K on the south and west. Armstrong Park is populated by a diverse mix of residents who appreciate their community’s small-town, close-knit atmosphere. Many residents are active in civic organizations that organize meetings, parties and other community events. Locals also spend some of their free time at Willow Creek Park, a community park that features playfields, hiking trails and picnic areas.

Dallas North Estates is located west of Collin Creek Mall, surrounded by 15th Street, Alma Drive, Plano Parkway and Westwood Drive. Like Armstrong Park, Dallas North Estates has a strong, family-oriented sense of community. Collin Creek Mall is one of the city’s major retail centers. The local parks, much appreciated by families, are Westwood Park and Overland Trail Park.

Douglass is one of Plano’s oldest neighborhoods. First settled in the 1840s, today’s Douglass is characterized by a rich heritage. Residents work together to keep commercial developments to a minimum and to preserve the recreation and landmark sites of their community. The two main landmarks are Old City Cemetery and Davis Cemetery. Recreation sites include Douglass Community Center, Ben Thomas Gymnasium and Douglass Playground.

Old Towne, like Douglass, is one of East Plano’s historic neighborhoods. It is characterized by a diverse mix of residential homes, convenient shopping centers, strong neighborhood pride and a small-town atmosphere. Old Towne is known for its stately brick homes, some dating back to the 1800’s. The resident base is diverse in ethnicity and in age and the population is relatively stable, with a mix of long-term residents and younger families.
